Working with live, exotic Asian plants, Giordano has created a unique process using both oils and inks that capture the details and subtleties of each plant selected.
Colors and shapes are positioned to maximize the images to the deckled edge of her handmade paper. They are vibrant in color, textured in appearance and limited to one of a kind!

MonotypesIn 2003 I began a series of monoprints from my mountain-side garden in the Catskills where the actual plants became the art. Harvested for their transferability and printability, these plants are viscosity inked and printed on BFK and Japanese Mitsumoto paper – their mortality extended. |
