HOW DO YOU TRANSFORM FROM STREET ARTIST AND DUMPSTER DIVER TO HAVING A MAJOR EXHIBITION AT THE BROOKLYN MUSEUM OF ART?

Experiencing the masterly installation in the rotunda of the Brooklyn Museum "Swoon's"  "Submerged Motherlands" was a great adventure. Swoon, whose real name is Caledonia Dance Curry, is a street artist who specializes in life-size prints and paper cutouts of human figures. Swoon's environmental concerns compelled her to build floating cities made solely from natural resources. She navigated  both the Adriatic and the Hudson Rivers aboard her fantastic cities.
